Both Common and Special Programme data are analysed as soon as possible and put into the Madrigal Datenbank.

Access to data in Madrigal is quite easy. Go to http://www.eiscat.se/madrigal/ and click on the Access Data submenu on the left. Then click on Database Inventory Form on the main page, choose the radar data you want, for example EISCAT Tromso UHF radar (dont use EISCAT radars (any) this gives nothing at present), choose a date interval and click 'list selected data' and go from there. You have access to several plots as well as ascii versions of the analysed data and the analysed matlab files themselves.

In the Madrigal Experiment Listing the experiment name may be misleading. I suggest clicking on the 'GO' link at the left to see what data is really there. There may be data from several experiments in one day.

The plots are available in several formats. I suggest using .png for speed. All other formats are generated on the fly and may be slower. An example summary plot is shown below.

There are usually two overview plots, one showing the whole data interval, and one in 24-hour format ('24hrplt' in the file name). There are often two calibration plots show the where the peak densities from EISCAT are compared with foE or foF2 from the EISCAT ionosonde (dynasonde). The 'calib-foF2' plot uses the peak density between 180 and about 500km, and the 'calib-foE' plot is for densities between 90 and 130 km usually.
